Blew out the tail light on my wife's K75RT.
We took the bulb out, looked for the number and then somehow we missed placed the bulb.
We're now trying to find a replacement bulb and while it's apart, we thought that we would replace the brake light bulb at the same time.
Are these a BMW Special bulb, or does anyone know the numbers and can I pick them up at a Parts Store?
Thanks,
Downhill Hunter

If it is same as the K100rt, and I believe it should be. It is 1157 standard two filament automotive bulb. HaroldS

As far as I'm aware, all stock K75s use a two bulb system. A 21watt single contact brake light (1156 or GE# P21W) and a 10 watt single contact taillight (GE# R10W) These or their other brand equivilant are available at any car parts store. Both bulbs have the same base, but the taillight has a smaller head diameter than the brake light (3/4" vs. 1")
The microfiche also shows the same bulbs for stock K100s. (Harold are you sure you don't have an aftermarket setup in there?):dunno

Right you are, Lee!
We found the bulb. Turns out I'm the one who lost it!
You know the drill...put it in a safe place...can't remember where that 'safe place' was!
You're right on the money for the size, watts and discription!
We'll get some today.
Thanks for your help!

Okay Lee You caught me with my drawers slipping. I have running lights and signal lights in the signal light housings(those are 1157's) , hyperlights in the dummyspots of the tail light housing. that's all aftermarket but I didn't think that any thing had been changed with the tail light brake light position. I did it 12 years ago oh well , the mind !$ %^&#@ Harold S
