I completed the Experienced Rider Course on Sunday. It was a great refresher class, and a good way to start the riding season. Here are a few observations that may help others interested in the course:
Show up 30 minutes early, to fill out paperwork and sign waivers.
Make sure your bike's cooling system is working. Most of the riding is at slow speeds and there is some waiting for your turn, even with a small class.
Two guys walked into the class as there were no shows. The weather was not great. I suspect that this will only work on "off" days.
Our class ran one hour over the projected end time (everyone took the skills/license test).
The instructors were friendly, helpful, and professional. Both were experienced and proficient. The class is a little simple, but getting back to the basics can be a good way to help avoid trouble.
My insurance company gave me a 10% discount for taking the class.
I had fun!
