Does anyone have specific information on hooking up the Brake, Running, and Turn Signal wiring from a K1200LT to standard 4 plug trailer wiring? I can get the brake and turn signals to work but when I hook up the running lights, I blow fuses.

I'm going to be installing a Reynolds trailer hitch & pulling a Bushtec trailer
this summer with my K11LT. Someone recommended contacting Bushtec
to purchase the isolating relay to protect the bikes elec system from bad
things happening. Made sense to me, I think the magic box was around
$65 plus shipping. See more at www.bushtec.com YMMV. :buds

You will need a converter to go from 5 wires to 4. As stated, check with Bushtec for a plug & play solution. You're blowing fuses in the running lights most likely because you're overloading the circuit. I've always used relays to power my trailer lights. That is what you will get from bushtec.
