Folks, would love some ideas on where to mount a new Autocom unit on my 1999 K1200? I pulled an old "Eurocom" unit out from under the passenger seat but who wants to unbolt the seat everytime to move volume or add connections? If anyone out there has found a good spot, please share! Thanks

I think it has been 3 or 4 years since I mounted my AutoComm on the left side under the rear seat................... set the volume & mic and used a piggyback fuse ran the leads and "voila". I just "lexol'd my leather seats and yup, the autocomm is still there working flawlessly. I think most riders mount it there. (Double side industrial grade velcro) I have FRS bike to bike and additional HiFi input and finally took out the CB since being a "Ham" I wasn't up to the language used on those freqs and much of the time I have the 6 cd changer out also but mp3 is fine. :heart

I mounted it on the top box, facing forward just behind where the passenger would sit........fitted a waterproof flap over it to keep all weather out and it works fine....
It is totally out of sight and there is plenty of room and to route the wires, etc....
I have seen others mounted under the rear seat on the right side...cutting a bit of plastic on the fender assy to get a fit out of the way is a quick solution and again clean and out of sight.....
