News:

RoadracingWorld.com (http://roadracingworld.com/news/article/?article=28562) – Canadian Thunder to continue with 3.8:1 weight to power ratio in 2007.

We use yellow lines to split the lanes in Lilydale, I think I have some learning to do. Bikernewsonline.com (http://www.bikernewsonline.com/2007/03/educating-public-on-lane-splitting.htm) takes us to school in their article Educating the Public on Lane Spliting.

Vespalx150.blogspot.com (http://vespalx150.blogspot.com/2007/03/thoughts-on-risk-and-personal.html) – MOA members are not the only ones to have “Thoughts on Risk and Personal Responsablity.”

Telegraph.co.uk (http://www.telegraph.co.uk/motoring/main.jhtml?xml=/motoring/2007/03/10/nosplit/mfbike10.xml) Grand designs – Kawasaki is heading in the right direction with its new Z1000.

Feature:

A link to Teamorthopedics.com (http://www.teamorthopedics.com/boots.html)’s online article “Mechanical Properties of Modern Off-Road Motorcycle Riding Boots” was sent to me before I took time off. It is well worth the read if you are thinking about some new boots.

I think you will find the boot page ( http://www.webbikeworld.com/motorcycle-boots/ ) from webBikeWorld.com helpful, once you have done you homework and had a moment to think about what you want in a boot.

Wonderings:

If you have read many of my posts you know that I am a firm believer in the Law of Unintended Consequences. I am disappointed to report that the Law is alive and well across the pond in England. Last week Telegraph.co.uk (http://www.telegraph.co.uk/motoring/main.jhtml?xml=/motoring/2007/03/17/nosplit/mfbike17.xml) ran this article, “What planet are they on?” in the Motoring section and this week in theTelegraph.co.uk (http://www.telegraph.co.uk/motoring/main.jhtml?xml=/motoring/2007/03/24/mnbill24.xml) they have a follow up, “Motorcycle bill roars on towards disaster.”

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/motoring/graphics/2007/03/24/mnbill24.jpg

Legislation is difficult to write at best, and really good legislation is on the endangered species list. If you agree with that and appreciate the Law of Unintended Consequences then it makes sense to pay attention to legislation involving our passion. Some times the simple well intentioned bill will fall prey to the unintended.

With its Art Deco-style lighthouse and picturesque harbor, Port Washington is a perfect place to launch a day of sport fishing on Lake Michigan. Visitors will find delightful suggestions of the city's past in the Ozaukee County Courthouse on Main Street, with its gold-plated dome. The Lightstation Museum, in a restored 1869 lighthouse, displays the city's maritime and pioneer history as does Eghart House, a lovely Victorian cottage. Three miles inland at Saukville tour Pioneer Village, a collection of Historic buildings dating to 1840.
