What type/size bolt is used to clip on the handlebars on a 1200RT? I have a RAM I want to mount but I don't think I have the correct tool to back out the stock bolt. The replacement bolt is no problem. I don't think it is a 40 Torx because I have several versions of the Torx and none fit snugly.
Thanks,
Steve

I moved this to Oilheads as I think it might get more responses.

I need to learn to think BIGGER - both literally and figuratively. Just because my largest Torx bit is a 40 I did not consider that there are actually Torx bits larger! Thank you for confirming my suspicions. I am off to the hardware store in pursuit of Torx 45 (and whatever other sizes they may have that I do not presently have in my tools!).

I believe the 40 fits the brake calipers also, since a wrench in toolkit fits them. Off the top of my head, I think the 45 is the largest Torx you would need. now allen wrenches... the front axle is a 22mm and eventually you will need one of those.
