Rice Lake was founded as a logging camp in the 1850s and continues to thrive today. A variety of recreation, from fishing and hiking to golfing and gaming, draws visitors to the town. A recreation of what life in this beautiful region was like during the logging era is displayed at the Pioneer Village Museum, just south of Rice Lake. For another look at the region's history, visit Rice Lake's Indian Mounds Park, a Chippewa Indian burial ground.

I just love the History Channel's "goof" on the illustration of the boxer engine piston movement in the R32 video. Talk about shaking the teeth right out of your head!!

Representatives of Saxon Motorcycles Europe proudly announced that they have obtained the European Type approval, making all of their bikes "road legal" and allowing them to be licensed by dealers in every country of the European Union (EU) and Switzerland. Saxon Motorcycles Europe, founded in January 2006 by Frank Vermeulen and Rinke Andringa of the Netherlands, was created specifically to provide the European market with custom, American-style motorcycles.

A very interesting concept - American style motorcycles in Germany. Maybe the Chromeheads can be reborn.

Thanks Mika!

I'm not sure why I clicked on the link about the helmet law updates. Things like that always annoy me... but I enjoy wearing my helmet. I just caught a quote from a guy in Arizona:

"That shiny helmet might protect the head, but the energy of the impact will telegraph to the neck/spinal column, which breaks at only 7 pounds of pressure... save the “head trauma,” create a paraplegic."

Of all the people on here that have had a get-off, I don't recall this being an issue for any of them. Reminds me of something a fellow MOA-er told me once about people with helmets having neck pain; dead people don't complain about a sore neck. :nod
