Hermy's BMW in Port Clinton, Pa is having their Open House. The area is great riding and if you must Cabelas is a short ride down the road. Usually this is a nice turn out at a friendly dealer.
Local forum members this could be a great event to meet and greet ? By then you should know your tax penalty and have or have not the jingle. www.hermys.com

Great Idea, Statdawg.
As a member of MARS (Mid-Atlantic Riders, MOA# 180), I think I will propose a group ride after our breakfast meeting that morning.
There is a great place for lunch just a short walk from Hermes - the Port Clinton Hotel. After meeting, we can continue greeting!

If the slopes are closed I just might turn up for some of that PA hospitality :drink

Cool ride up Rt 61 North about 30 miles to Centralia, site of underground fire that has been burning since 1962. Landfill burn hit a high running coal vein. Check out the history at http://www.offroaders.com/album/centralia/centralia.htm

Here's a ride on the closed part of PA 61 on the mountain below Centralia, and north of Hermy's. Noxious fumes waft out of the cracks on warm pavement.

The MARS group will hold a group ride after our monthly breakfast putting us there around 11:30ish.
Statdawg, great idea for a club table but unfortunately that responsibility would fall to me and I need to make it a quick trip up and back. We have a family commitment later in the day. I look forward to meeting you tho!
There are many great roads up that way. I grew up not far from there. Our house overlooked Blue Marsh Dam/Rec Area. For those not familiar, Cabelas is also a short ride down the road.

At 7am, I'm still on the fence. I forgot that we have a family function that I have to attend later today. If I go, I'll be there around noonish but leaving after only a half hour or so. Look for the yellow 650 with Linex covered bags. I'm pretty sure it will be the only one of its kind.

Looks like the WX will make this a true GS event. Got a nice soft loft full of Hay for stranded oat burners?
