Thank you to all who have posted and sent PMs. It is great to have support.

My mother died last night just before midnight. My sister and I were at her bedside and it was very peaceful.

Now we will be planning the funeral and gathering the far flung family.

Thank you again for all the support.

I'm very sorry to hear that, John.

Best wishes to your family.

I'll relate what my uncle said when my mom died nearly 30 years ago.

"A family is like a ring. It's strong and tight. When a piece of that ring is taken away, it gets tighter and stronger."

Sorry for your loss. I wish I had something inspiring to say that would make you feel better, having gone through much the same situation in the last 2 years, I know there really isn't anything that can be said.

John,

Sorry to read of your loss. I hope you are comforted by the fact you and your sister were fortunate to be at your mother's side providing comfort and support to her, to each other and know she passed with peace.

God bless.

I lost my father over seven years ago and still feel the pain of the loss. Though the sorrow never passes, it does become easier to bear. Don't ever be ashamed to show your grief. Thank you for sharing with us.
