Howdy, Where is the best place to camp/tent in the Daytona area during Bike Week? I'm looking for cheap and close to the action, or close to the Speedway. Thanks to all who can help.

Good News, there is a BMW encampment. The folks putting out the welcome mat are the B-Cubed Club. Was there last year and the folks are friendly and the coffee pot has no bottom. :thumb
This is their website (http://www.bcubed.us/). (http://www.bcubed.us/)
And they always have an outstanding teeshirt

Its been years since I've been to Bike Week. How close is the B Cubed Camp to the downtown area.
I don't want to ride if I've consumed an "adult beverage" and was wondering about the proximity of their campground to the happenings going on in the area.
Taxicabs around, I suppose?
Thanks

About 20 miles; just close enough and just far enough away IMHO. The only loud pipes you will hear there will be out on the interstate; the venue cracks down on obnoxious biker types in the campground.

B-Cubed is a great place to stay.
If you are a consumer of achohol, US1 is about 6-7 miles south on I95 and the party bars are right there. Ironhorse, Broken Spoke Saloon and a bunch more. Easy ride home too or you can always sleep in the parking lot with a few of your new found friends. DAMHIKT

Another option is camping at the track. Your camping fee gets you into the track for the races very nice shower and WC facilities with little use during the day you can find track food. Quite sedate at night and close to shopping and resturaunts. Worse case scenario if you imbibe too much downtown not a wallet buster for a cab to your tent.

I can't say that I've ever tried any "achohol." It must sure do the trick. Right up there with camping at the track, I suppose. I should have just asked for coordinates.

Are reservations required at the B Cubed area or can we just show up?

I checked their website and saw that no reservations are needed.
