I have torn the tab off the inside of the rad shroud:doh Should I have it plastic welded or would an adhesive do the trick? What is the best adhesive?

I've had good luck with the plastic filler rod used for plastic welding and a small butane micro-torch. You can buy a coil of the filler material from McMaster Carr for a couple dollars and the torch is a Weller Pyropen. I was able to reconnect some tabs to the plastic fenders of an ATV after a spectacular crash and the the repair was actually stronger than new. It's worth a little experimentation.

I had the same failure on the radiator cover of my K75, and just used two-part plastic epoxy to put it back on.

I use the two-part slow,.It is also listed as stronger and it gives you all the time you need to position or clamp.. I then use a couple of postage stamp sized pieces of fiberglass matt or rove and dab them into the epoxy. position the repaired part in a position that gravity is your friend. When you look at it in the morning the matt will have sunk into the epoxy, the epoxy will have smooth out and will almost look good.
I have two 85 K100s and have used this method to repair all four sliding tabs on the backs of the battery covers and a mirror mount that didn't pop but tore its roots right out of the fairing. good luck HaroldS

JB Weld. Clean both surfaces with some acetone before using it.. and it will be stronger than the plastic it's being used on.
