16 years old and 5K miles? It's a creampuff, I'd look for rot on the tires and change fluids immediately if I bought it.
Get a picture and show it to us if you can!

Being an expert in R100GS repair and upkeep, I will take this off of your hands because you are in for a world of heartache and misery. Trust me:evil Just let me know where to pick it up. Dont trust the other guys in the above threads. They have not been verified by the RGS Foundation or its subsidiary the RGSPD Foundation. Currently I am the only member.

But seriously that is a rockin deal if you havent guessed by now. You will need to set aside time in your day (when not riding) for staring at it in the garage.
