I have an 02 R1150RT and after riding two or three hours my knees start to bother me. I am riding from NH to WI for the rally and I am thinking about droping the pegs, installing boards or putting on highway pegs. Any help would be much apreciated Thanks!

This post would do better in the oilhead section. Maybe the moderater will move it.

I have a set of the accessory cast alloy folding footboards, which were made for the 70's BMWs, on my '78 R100/7. They do look a bit strange and I get some ribald comments from other BMW riders but they do allow a more relaxing position for my creaky old knee joints!
