As soon as the importer figures out how to skirt the regulations. They are coming as a "kit," like a Chaterham Super 7 used to. The issue with the C1 was that the DOT classified it as a "car" because of it's enclosure and restraints (seat belt). As such, it would never pass crash testing. While technically a "kit" is subject to the same EPA/DOT regs as anything else, the DOT chooses not to enforce them.
