Has anyone gone through the delightful process of replacing a headlight bulb in a 2005 (or later) RT? Wish I had smaller hands.......wait, they are smaller now, since I left much of them on the plastic. It's also a great exercise in experiencing what the blind must feel like. :banghead

Yes, the right low beam. The neat thing is that the on board computer tells you, not only that a bulb is burned out, but which one! Pretty cool.....but a real PITA to replace.

yes, recently replaced a burnt out bulb and decided to swap all 3 out to SilverStars...my nightmare was dropping the bulb in the right side opening and it wedged below the socket ...I had to walk away a few times before my riding lady partner showed up reached in and saved my sanity. I now have purchased( thanks to tip from fellow RT owner) a set of l-o-n-g needle nosed pliers

BTW, the SilverStars cost a few more , but what a crisp white light!

Gives me an idea.....think I have an old set of long hemostats which might have helped. The problem is getting that clip reattached on each side.....without the bulb falling out of it's little hole in the process. Maddening! May try the Silverstars when another one burns out.
