I just returned to Austin,Tx from Louisville,KY. Flew in Dec 27th and rode back A THIRD BMW...a second R1150R. While stopping overnite in Brentwood (outside of Nashville)I went about installing my creature comforts from my other R onto the newbie. I had Moto Lights, Autocomm power and acc power for tankbag harness all laid out and went to remove tank...been there done that b4...well of course the quick connect seperated in an unusual look...I said "Goshy Darn" and went inside hotel for directions to Auto Parts for McGyver supplies.Upon the sad news none were close, I picked up my Anonymous Book and found 5 listings for Brentwood. I called the one with all the abbreviatons that sounded needed. The phone was answered and to my rescue came Steve Page. He saw my dilema and offered a trailering to Bloodworth BMW in Nashville just in case there were more surprises. We went to pick up trailer and were at dealer before 9:30 AM where they quickly...no pun... replaced the bad set of QR's and had me on road b4 11:00. My first venture into the book and an excellent response to my self inflicted need for repair. The ride back to TX was fantastic until issue # 2 , 80 miles from home...lost hydrauilics to clutch right as the Denver storm made it to Austin. I called my riding sweetheart who got me riding these fantastic machines who grabbed my truck/trailer and drove in storm to bring me in. ANYWAYS...THANKS... Steve for the conversation and the rescue and Staff at Bloodworth's for getting me down the road during the holiday week ...BE SAFE IN 2007
