I guess that it HAS been a while. I've been busy caulking my windows and trying to remember where in the heck I stored the wool skivvies.

That was Pat's ensemble for the 1997 American Music Awards. He was promoting the release of his album of heavy metal covers.

Well huh eh?
Whod a thunk it??
Pat Boone at his wild and crazy best.
Maybe we could book him for Saturday Night at Spokane?Maybre him and Ozzy Osbourne doing a mellow duet,in white bucks.

Nope, I don't have the album. But I'll bet my entire collection of leg bandanas (see first picture) that Pat would rock the house - er - tent at the Spokane rally! The ideal musical act to appeal to all ages and musical tastes! The range ! The repertoire! The mind boggles.

The question that remains is who in the heck is the rally entertainment chair and do they have a sense of humor???

I heard Pat Boone interviewed shortly after he released that album and it was great. He told how he honked off a lot of his church going fans and other long time friends when he released the music.
He truly thought the songs he covered represented good music worthy of his efforts and he enjoyed hanging around with members of the heavy metal scene. The interview gave me an appreciation for the man. Did I buy the album? No, but listening to him sure broke up my preconceived notions about Pat Boone!
(wonder if he rides a bike????)

Like Cliffy, I wondered if Pat rode. Well, he does, but it's not pretty. Serves me right for digging around on the internet. **sigh**

EEEeewwww!!!

Surely that photo has been faked???

I remember Pat Boone coming out of the volcano, naked, holding a sheep in front of himself in Journey to the Centre of the Earth.I am going to have to rethink that.:brow

Pat Boone is a Mary Kay salesman????

Well, at least he's doing well. No Cadilliac though...

Pat and I are homies. The gig is that Pat is color blind. He thinks his bike is black, just like all the other guys. A shrewd salesperson took advantage of his condition and offed the pink stinker on him a couple years back. None of his close personal friends have the courage to let him in on what he has.
