I need to replace the windshield on my GS...can anyone tell me if the Adventure windshield is a direct bolt-on for the standard GS? What's the difference between them? Thanks

Unfortunately the adventurer windshield isn't a direct bolt on. You will also need to purchase some spacer blocks that extend the mounting area for the bolts that go through the windshied out about an 1 1/2". List price on them is about $50 each IIRC

IIRC about $250 for all hardware to put an Adventure Screen on a Standard GS. That's what I did, also added a Laminar-Lip ($95) :thumb

Do you think it helped with the turbulence and noise? I have the torbinators on my GS and it's better, but still leaves something to be desired at speeds above 50 mph.
In the latest MOA news on page 102 is package deal from nippy norman to upgrade GS to Adventure screen plus torbinators for $290.

i bet you could make those out of wooden dowels or something :D

ps, i'm the type of guy that generally "puts-up" rather than "up-grades"

Nah I wouldn't do that lots of twisting force.

PETDOC - It was better over the standard but still bounced my head around. The Laminar-Lip does a good job of directing air just over my head. Enough so that I can ride at speed with visor up, and it stays there.

I'm still watching for the perfect solution.

I considered that option as well. I tried a variety of screens as well as the tobinators. The tobinators helped bit I still had a lot of wind noise. I added an Aeroflow and wow, what a difference. I'm a believer!
