It's cold and flu season for bikes. If you have the crack prone coil (89 R100GS comes to mind) you may want to check it so you don't coast into a parking lot in the rain, like someone did yesterday. It's drying on top of the oven now, waiting to be patched. :violin

Why not just upgrade the coil to the current factory replacement that doesn't require drying/patching. Through the aftermarket the improved Bosch coil can be had for around $100 & the matching ignition module for $40.
