R26 ,R27 project Bikes

I looked at a couple Bikes R26,R27 that were rough.Both had match #s on frame and engine , but forks were off later bikes.They were not earles forks.Was the swing arm suspension different on the thumpers than the twins or are they interchangeable.

With respect to assembling an Earles from parts, my understanding is that axle diameter and other round machined components(pivots) are not the same and brake and wheel hubs are not interchangeable between singles and twins. With regard to fitting a complete Earles from a twin into the steering head of a single frame, I don't know. Someone please correct me if I am wrong.
