What are yours?
I will kick off with:
1.) Re-read 3 chapters from a David Hough book per week.
2.) Get to my fitness club 5 times per week
3.) See my parents more frequently as they both have deficits and getting out is tough for them.

I don't make new years resolutions. I make changes as I see fit throughout the year. I don't need no set time to think about them. :nyah

Why of course...your choice to be a curmudgeon....

I can't seem to ever keep them, so I guess it doesn't matter. I do set goals for myself though, and I plan on putting more miles on the bike, as well as planniing a long weekend couples ride in the spring.

I don't think you are as bad as you claim, but then if you are, Santa is likely to bypass you come Christmas

I'm implementing my resolution a bit early. I've gained back about 30 of the 95 pounds I've lost since 1/04. So I've recommitted to my diet plan, and I plan to be back under 200 by New Years. After that, my resolution is to keep on keepin' on.

My only New Year's resolution is the same as last years: Spend less time putzing around on motorcycle forums. :)

Me too. The original plan was to complete my first Century ride by the end of next summer but now I am shooting for April.

Compulsive is as compulsive does, so I have a staunch limit to posting on this forum alone. God forbid I make my first post on rounders! If then, then I'm really cooked. :D

1. Try to be less cynical.
2. Become the world's oldest biker.

I resolve to double the mileage on my new (to me) F650GS. Should be doable as it only has 8300 Kms on it now.

If I were running something large enough to count as artillery it would be correct as AAA. I prefer the smaller round option. Fifty cal. is plenty of reach and there is more venison left for dinner later. :eat :evil
I do have a space and weight limitation ya know. :nyah

Dear stewby,
What a coincidence! I have been meaning to resolve to ride other peoples bikes more to save wear and tear on my bikes!! I can fit you in for April and May 07 and I can confidently guarantee that I will add 3,000 miles. Or if you prefer, you could sign up for August 07 and I will put on about 13K :) Please PM with where and when I can pick up your bike.
Happy to help (I'm just a nice person)!

Hey stewby!
My '93 R100 has about 20K on it as well.
Let's really tear those roads up in '07!
Best wishes to you and Merry Christmas!

I think I have one for the coming year that I can even achieve. I resolve to NOT kill my boss in the last 5 months of my working career. :banghead
As a second choice, I resolve to put 2,000 miles on that black RS that Boxergrrlie rides. :D :D
Hey, that's what we need. A ride-other-people's-bikes society. Thanks for the idea, Rebecca!! :buds :D

1) Lose some weight - I have a number but let's just say it is 22% of total current weight
2) Run the Sunburst Half Marathon in June 2007
3) Run the Marine or Chicago Marathon in October 2007

I don't make New Year's resolutions because by the 3rd of January, they are blown away. OK, so I lack some self discipline. So, I would have to say that I would like to find more different kinds of beer to sample. :drink
And, I want to keep doing my best to be the best person I possibly can be.

Ride as often as possible.
Attend a rally so I'm no longer a rally virgin. Maybe become completely promiscuous and attend any rally anywhere.
Take my kids riding with me. They're 13 and 14 now, and I think it's time.

- Work less, play more.
- Beat my 2006 mileage. I bought my first bike, learned how to ride it, and did 12K since July 1. I have all year next year, so I'm pretty sure I can do better. Way better if I keep the first resolution... All Play miles..
- Take 2 Team Oregon courses - Track day, and the low speed maneuver course.
- Exercise more. I mountain biked a lot until I started riding. I'm getting back on that bike next year. And skiing/snowboarding this winter. I'm moving my home office to BC next week to help make the snow resolution happen. Alas, that means parking my beloved for a few months, though.
- Plan future resolutions - a trip to Alaska, a trip to Chili. Funny, I used to think I wanted to fly there... all this depends on my ability to execute resolution 1.
- Execute resolution 1.

so I'm only resolving myself to be the best father and husband I can be. That one I hope I can handle. The others, it would be nice to accept my job better, lose some weight, drink less, and really get into exercising a lot more.
If I get the first two right the others will work out.

I have several resolutions. Now I just have to stick with them
1) Spend more quality time with my lovely bride.
2) QUIT SMOKING!
3) Ride the bikes to much more distant places. ( I logged only 8000 miles on my 100rs and 1100rs and never left Michigan.)
4) Go to church more often than I do.
5) Learn to say no more often.
6) Lose a few pounds.
7) Finish painting the inside of the house.
8) Take my wife to the ocean for much needed R & R.
9) Take some time for myself.
10) Slow down and enjoy life.
Take Care & Ride Safe
Pat Carol
