Coming to an artery near you ? In Tempe, Arizona there is a new Grill that is coming under fire, degrading women because the waitresses dress like nurses, and they have Alpha Male Mondays etc. many are claiming. The food is thick with everything that can kill you but worth a trip perhaps to cheat death and enjoy. Anyone been there ? http://www.heartattackgrill.com :drink :eat :drink What other Road Food places are worth dying to see ?

Not sure if it qualifies as Road Food, but Flo's Cafe at Chino airport (Chino, CA) had a plate of biscuits and gravy to die for. Its been years since I've been there, though. Add a couple of eggs over easy, 5 slices of bacon and a pot of coffee........ We'd have to do a fresh weight and balance before we shoehorned ourselves back in the Archer for the flight home.

I had an angiogram three weeks ago. Kind of cured my desire for unhealthy food! Everytime I feel the urge for a smoke (quit eight weeks ago), I just picture that big machine over the top of me while a bunch a strangers were driving a tube around in my arteries!

I know the place, it was a family thing we still have one (Georgia Pig) here in Fort Lauderdale, FL, owners name is Wayne (something) Pork or beef cooked over hot coals from hickory wood everyday. The place is packed at lunch time, motorcycle parking on the side walk in front.

Eat right, live healthy and add years to your life: The broken down, frail end of your life. No, thank you. Three score and ten is enough.

Pass the BBQ, thank you and for dessert, cobbler and real ice cream. Ride home and a pipe and bourbon before bed. Life is like, good. And stuff.

How ironic!
I was just at my doctors office on Friday. He chewed me out for being four points above on the cholesterol scale. He also despised me riding a motorcycle.
We the following day the fire department paramedics were call too his office for a welfare check. My doctor was found on the floor barely breathing. He was taken to the hospital and it was discovered that he suffered a brain anyorism.
I was called at home last night and was told my doctor is in a coma with no chance of survival. He is currenly on life support awaiting organ transfers to other people. That is his wishes.
It is odd because on Friday he had stated to me that he would never want any type of life support.
So life is too short to worry about the little stuff. Enjoy the food and drink you want in moderation. You have too live a little. Worrying about what you eat and dring all of the time will cause a heart attack or stroke.

Merry Christmas

...is what I live by.

Eating stuff that is bad for you all the time is not a good idea. Having a Big Mac once in awhile...no big deal.

As has been stated on these boards a time or 2....

Everybody dies, but not everybody lives...

And for Rich...

It's too cold in Killdeer to dress like that. (I'm originally from McHenry) :wave

Home of the Growler! :eat In Lock Haven PA, Between Williamsport and State College off of I 80 down town on main street is a place called the Texas Lunch. It has been a greasy spoon dinner for about 50 years. They make a hot-dog to die for. A good frank grilled crispy in spots on the flat grill. The sauce is a Greek/Texas bean-less chili laid on top a squirt of yellow mustard and a couple of spoons of raw chopped white onion. They must sell about 10 thousand of these a week. The bun is white bread grilled with the dog. If I am with-in a 100 miles of the Lock haven I have to stop in for a couple of growlers, fresh cut par-fried potatoes and coffee. After you have to drive in to State College and get a grilled sticky at the Ye Old College Dinner on Main Street. (but that is another story).

Today on Rush he had fun with this topic. He says that "folks are just wound up to tight and ready to be offended."

Nurses complaining that they are offended by these nice young ladies serving up the burgers and fries. What about Hooters? I am going to make it a point to stop in next time I am out that way. I am sure the food will be great too..... :dunno

It is my understanding that Dean Young the guy that writes the Blondie comic strip is going to open a sandwich franchise to compete with the burger guys. It will be known as the "Dagwood Sandwich"
