Here's a good one I found in Newfoundland this summer. I was windy, but not as bad as it could have been. Only had gusts to about 100 Kph that day.

I once cut through the SE corner of Colorado and the wind was blowing so hard I kept the bike at a 45 degree angle. That was a pretty tough hour or three.
Wind is fun crossing the Mackinac Bridge from the mitten of Michigan up to the UP or vice versa. First you get the bike leaned into the wind, then you come to the gridwork portion of the bridge and look down. Feels just like you are flying.
That makes the heart pound.

This is on the Talimena Scenic Drive, just before the descent down to the eastern end (some say the best part of TSD!) Notice the fog and mist. Between that and the sign my S.O. was nearly scared out of her mind!

With the Salzburgring track just down this twisty road a bit and a lot of racer wannabees out there, they were losing a lot of riders.

This sign basically warning riders to wise up or that section of road will be closed to motorcyclists.

Dave,
thanks for that reminder of the best highway that ever made me wish I was on the bike. I was in a rented dodge on a business trip and had plenty of time to get from Bakersfield to Santa Cruz so I got off I5 to 198 then 25 all the way up. The frustration of not having a bike on that road was almost enough to make me want to just drive off a cliff! Almost turned a peacock into roadkill not too far from where that sign is too.

Mart C. (Placerville, CA) sent this to me to post. A great pic of a great sign in front of a great cemetery in Mobile, AL. I'd forgotten about those above ground cemeteries....

Truth be told I was waiting in line for a shot at a track ride at the beautiful Grattan Raceway when Julie Claire captured this moment.
It depicts the epic struggle of good over evil and/or man and bike vs very low speed limits and whatnot.

OK, this isn't really a "road" sign, but I sure got a kick out of it. Somewhere in South Dakota, I think.

WideBMW, what is that the view from the top of? It reminds me of the view from Capulin, but some details are not quite right to be that...

You got a R100R, great I have a 92. I just turned 180,000 miles on it. The road is the one on the first pic. UT 261 going North from Mexican Hat, UT. About 5 miles of dirt.
Going up, my wife did not like my "one hand for the bike and one hand for the camera. Have fun on your new bike. John

Go to the Four Corners area (UT,CO,NM,AZ). Center on Mexican Hat, UT. Zoom in a bit. 261 goes north off of US-163. In MapQuest, you can see a little "blob" at the end of the first stretch of 261 heading NNW off of 163. Center on that blob and zoom in. When you zoom in enough, you'll see Valley of the Gods Road. That is the road that you can see from the top. Mokee Dugway, likely the place where the photos were shot is at the "tip" of one of those switchback curves.

Great road, the Bride and I were just out that way a few weeks ago, took 261 on the way to Torrey,UT. What your looking down on is Monument Valley. To bad you didn't have the wide angle lens on as you wouldn't believe the view. If you look closely at the pic, you'll see a dirt road connect to the pavement, thats Valley of the Gods road.We took that road with a fully loaded 01RT, 2up and teaching my wife about riding in the dirt. Lotsa wash-outs and a wee bit rocky but TONS of fun.had the Rt bottoming out a few times and loving ever second of it. If your ever in the area, you just gotta check it out, the views are amazing to say the least, and the view from the top of 261 are also great.
As soon as I can figure out this scanner, I'll post some pic's of Valley of the Gods road.
Enjoy The Day.......

Sign you don't want to see: four bikes were riding Hwy 93 between Ely and Wells, NV, time for a fuel stop, but we couldn't seem to find anyone in town?
