Does anyone have experience mounting this windscreen to a 97 or later R1100R. Givi USA says it won't fit but Bob's BMW sells it for later Roadsters and confirmed with email it will fit fine.

I would be interested in a response to this question, too. I've inquired about this identical screen to another vendor and got a different response.

Can't confirm fit on the 1100, but as in the pic it fits nicely on the 1150.
If you get one, replace the small inner plastic washers Givi supplies for the top bracket mount w/ a 1 1/4" steel fender washer/rubber fender washer combo.
The larger diameter washers will reduce vibration down to practically nothing, and prevent cracking around the top bracket mount....
I have a 2000 R1100R with this windscreen and it fits perfectly - and works great.

Thanks wuwe. I was hoping someone tried this before I bought it. Can you answer whether you get allot of buffering and where the wind hits you at?
Actually I don't get very much buffeting. The wind hits me about mid helmet. Note that the unit's angle is adjustable as it pivots on the headlamp bolts giving you some control over where the wind hits.
This fall a friend and I packed our bikes into his van to ride in Vermont. i had to remove the screen in order to get it into the van and liked the feel of the bike so much without it that I haven't put it back on yet. Now that winter is here, though, I will put it back on. Sorry for the late response - been work laden.
