I'm fitting handgrip warmers to my '76 R90S. I would like to wire them in such that the ignition switch will prevent me from leaving them on and running down the battery, but I don't want to have them connected to one of the fuses in the headlight -- just too much of a pain to get at if I blow one. I will wire its own fuse in. Anybody know where I can plug it in to accomplish this?

If a wire isn't red, it isn't hot with the ignition off.

Try connecting the heaters' fuse to the battery via an accessory relay controlled by a switched-lead. This should achieve the result you want.

I recommend wiring it seperate. I am running an additional fuse mount close to the battery. I can only suggest that you may keep problems seperate.
All you auxillary wiring, weather a heated grip, battery tender, GPS, extra lights, etc... that way you access problems in the future if something is not working correctly.
