I see many users have a photo as their post logo to the left of their replies. How do you do that?

Through the magic of high speed photography I have one blurry photo of the R100SuperS going Mach 2 with my hair on fire. :type :type

Oh Fast One,

Go to "User CP" at the upper left-hand corner of the screen you are looking at right now and click on it. Then click on "Edit Avatar." You can then upload a photo (which has to be very, very small) to your avatar.

To post photos in a message, go to the "How Do I. . . ?" Forum and find the thread about posting a picture.

Many of us put our pictures up on photosharing websites, some of which can be found for free. A really good one (though not free) is SmugMug. There you can put up tons of pictures and simply link them to your messages, making your life easier and saving bandwidth on the site.

If you need help, take Dave up on his offer above, or PM me.

Thanks to everyone who helped me get the R100SuperS pic uploaded. I am going to go ride it now, it is much easier than sharing its picture. Yes it is November 19, and 70 F outside in Northern California. I may put a sweatshirt on. See ya! :clap

What is going wrong? I see a picture of my bike to the left of my replies. You can't see it?

I think most of us thought you were going to post a larger picture that we could look at more closely.

just guessing as that's what I thought,

The confusion:
We thought you wanted to post a photo in a thread. Instead you wanted to use the photo as your avatar (what those little images under your name are called). The requirements and procedures for such are different.

or for an avatar...

Sorry but that doesn't look like an intro to an avatar. An avatar image, including the one you are using is hardly a display of the heads.

Through the genius of parallel particle accelerator photogrammetry we have been able to catch a glimpse of the R100SuperS at rest. However, no one has yet devised a strategy to capture an image of this beast at full gate. Enjoy.

Thanks to all of you who made this moment possible. R100SuperS :dance
