Here is a little piece of advice that I learned the hard way yesterday.

Unless you have 100% trust in someone and their driving, do not get in their car with them. It may cost you your life. I almost died yesterday.

11 seconds after getting into an aquaintence's car, he (driver) driver lost control, flew off the road towards a hillside with a steep drop, we stopped only after uprooting a tree stump, several boulders, and a rather large tree, which kept us from falling down the hillside.

thankfully i walked away with my life. i had my seatbelt on. the xrays of my hand show a fracture, and my hand hurts like hell. otherwise ok. not going to be able to ride for a few weeks at least.

lesson learned. NEVER...EVER...EVER get into a car with someone who youve never seen drive. NEVER. It may cost you your life.

on a humorous note, it is awfully fun asking women for assistance in unzipping and rezipping my fly for me b/c i am "unable" to myself. :thumb
other than that, im P.O.!

Wow, glad you made it out alive.
But, ummmm, how would you know how someone drives before riding with them?

Bolders? Stump? A Tree?

What kind of car were you in that made your survival possible?

im glad you asked. the not-small stump we hit first, and that is probably a good thing, because we uprooted it, and tossed it several meters. why is this good? it absorbed a hell of a lot of energy and probably slowed us down significantly. then we landed on/hit boulders, went through some small trees, ended up high centered on some boulders and stopped at a large tree, which if it werent for the aforementioned stump, we would have hit at a higher rate of speed.

new honda accord. i may or may not have an 'H' on my lip from the airbag.
