It was suggested that I try this forum to find fellow club members in the WV area. I am new to road riding, the BMW MOA, and just bought my first road bike - '77 R100RS. I am looking for any fellow members in WV to establish contact with and possibly go riding with and learn from. Anybody fit the request?

Hello Matthew,

Gee, you should have been a BMW rider in Charleston in July when there were 7,198 of us in town for the BMW MOA International Rally.

There are only about 150 BMW MOA members in the entire state of WV, but there are a few of them in the Charleston area. You will find some of them listed in the BMW MOA Anonymous Book listings. There is also a WV chapter of the Airheads Beemer Club, but they are mostly in the northern part of the state.

Good luck with your bike. Enjoy all the fantastic riding WV has to offer. Sounds like a nice bike to ride to Spokane this July.

Ride fast safely.

Mathew, I grew up there and now live in Kansas. I ride back to WV a couple of times a year. If you want, you can post a way to get hold of you and I will let you know when I am coming in to ride.

I can be reached at 304-346-3883. My email is moguidry@yahoo.com. I'd be up for anything as far as riding is concerned.

Thanks,

Matthew,

Check out the BMWBMW boards at BMWBMW.org (http://www.bmwbmw.org) - lots of folks from the DC area ride West Virginia on a regular basis. Favorite meeting spot is Wardensville at the Ka-Ka-Pon Restaurant, weekend rides often overnight in Martinsburg.
