Just got back from a work to trip France and on one of my days off I thought I would see if I could go tour around on a motorcycle. In my hotel lobby I happened accross a brochure for Classic Bike Provence. It was 9 or 10 at night and I was hoping to go the next day or so, so I fired off an email to them and the responded with-in ten or fifteen minutes. The price was decent (140 euros for a 6 to 8 hour tour) and when they offered to pick me up at my hotel to go to their location, I couldn't refuse. When we got to their shop/home there were at least 13 Classic/vintage bikes all in excellent condition. I had never driven a right hand shift Bike before so Neil the proprieter suggested that it might be fun to give it a go. So I took a Royal Enfield for a short spin around their yard and decided it would be fun and off we went, following Neil on a beautiful Velocette. The following exerpt from an email from Neail is a description of where we went :

As promised here are some of the places we went to on the two 500
singles..Enfield Bullet and Velocette.
We left Ventabren and went to the aqueduct of roquefavour which carries
the Marseille canal over a gorge which is 84 metres high and 385 metres
across.Built by 5000 men over 5 years between 1847 and 1851.A copy of
the famous Roman built one in the Gard.
Then via Coudoux/Equilles/Puyricard/Venelles/Meyrarques/Peyrolles
stopping for coffee at Jouques to the north of Aix.

Then across country for lunch at Vauvenarques with a view over Pablo
Picasso's château which is apparently where he is buried and is now
lived in by his daughter Palermo.

Then around the north side of the ridge mountain via the Col de portes
631 metres.Hugged the southern slopes with its spectacular views via
Pourries/Puyloubier stopping at Maison St Victoire at St Antonin sur
Bayon to see the audio visual show.

After we got back we had some nice conversation and snacks and wine. All in all it was an excellent time and I highly reccommend visiting them if you are in the Provence region of France. http://www.classicbikeprovence.com info@classicbikeprovence.com
