Ozaukee – Washington Daily News ( http://www.dailynewsol.com/index.htm)

OCTOBER 21, 2006

West boys, Multerer statebound
The West Bend West boys cross country team made its goals at the beginning of the season clear: state tournament or bust.

Suns too hot to handle
The team Hartford Union volleyball coach Terry Wick saw at practice this week wasn,t the same one that took the floor Friday night in a WIAA Division 1 regional semifinal against West Bend East.

Local teams seeded third
The WIAA football pairings were released Friday and three local teams each received No. 3 seeds in their respective divisions.

Indians have "one of those nights," and it costs them

KEWASKUM - Ask any coach or athlete and they will tell you momentum is as important as anything in a tight volleyball match.
KML shakes the rust, nerves, then the Cougars

JACKSON - Since 2001, Kettle Moraine Lutheran has been as good as any volleyball team in the state when it comes to winning regional or sectional matches.

I don’t know about you but I don’t have $150,000 USDs sitting around.

I may be able to scrounge about 150,000 pennies, which would take me way down the road for this alternative weekend project bike.

Bike Candy:

I was thinking a hack would be a good option for winter driving. I am having trouble deciding on

Red

or Black

I expect to have the family back to Lilydale for the holidays. There will be about twelve of us. I’ll need plenty of groceries for that crowd. Carrying capacity will be an issue. Maybe this would be a better choice.

You might be amazed at how many times married couples riding on two different bikes have had the occasion where one person's bike collided with their spouse's bike - on the road - in the garage - or otherwise. Thus, "Spouse Hits Spouse."

George and Mae started this club, and had no difficulty finding 10 members, after they were riding in some twisties, hit a mud slide across the road, and one went down and the other hit the wreckage.

I like the black one, the jet engine would be too much for me and I knew there had to be a good story to go with the club name :laugh

I'm in! My wife "leaned over" on my RS at a stop in Newfoundland. We had to enlist help to get her bike off mine without dumping both of them. I was able to hold mine up, but couldn't move hers too and she was pinned between and couldn't get loose. No harm other than a small gouge in my system case.

Viki and I ride about a half block apart. We have always ridden that way. In fact we don't go on group rides and with the occasional exception of a couple of close friends, we ride by ourselves. We had a tipover once. Viki parked her bike on a slope next to mine, even though I always told her to park far enough away so that one bike wouldn't take out the other. Anyway we were on the way from Illinois to the Escanaba, MI rally thru Colorado and her bike rolled over into mine. They were both upside down...sort of. When I looked back and saw them, somehow the first words I managed to squeek out were "Honey are you ok?". Wow. I am I great or what.
