The White Rim Trail is an Adventure Bike route near Moab. The story goes that this is a Jeep trail constructed by the Atmomic Energy Commission back when they were looking for Uranium. This is an OUSTANDING RIDE!
I consider myself to be a fair off road rider at best and it was challenging for me but good riders should have no worries.
We did the ride in one day, which is not really the best way to do it, on a 01 1150GS and 05 1200GS.
Spring and fall are the best times to go. Not a winter route unless you are sure about trail conditions and weather.

The attachment is in Adobe PDF, which most people should be able to view.

Could you please send me your waypoint file? ians *at* bellsouth.net.
Thanks!

Cool! I rode the White Rim Trail on a bicycle back in 1996. It took us 4 days to do it. :-)

Marilyn,
We saw some mountain bikers and for the most part, they seemed to be having the time of their life. I felt sorry for them the next however. The bad weather we had been told about did move in. We got sleeted on, snowed on, fourty mile an hour winds, rain...
I was also glad that Greg bailed at the last minute otherwise I might have done something stupid like try to ride the Beemers to Moab as opposed to trailering them.
I thought of the mountain bikers many times on the way home in the heated comfort of the truck. But, I'm sure they made it and have a wonderful story to tell!

Good pictures. It's a ride I've done many times. I hope you observed that 15 mph speed limit posted in the first picture. I did. (yuk yuk) I understand the park rangers are out there with radar. I didn't see them in April '06 however.
