K1200LT front seat. [Archive]

Is it just me, or is this the worst seat BMW has ever put out, except of course the Corbins in 93 or so. The seat looks like it would comfortable, and is for about 50 miles. I have mine at Tom Simmons now for a fix, I hope. I will let you know.

FYI I received my seat back from Tom and went on a quick 400 mile ride. The seat is FIXED! It's about 4 inches wider and an inch or so higher. Tom Simmons has T-S Custom Sales in Fayetteville, Ark. if anyone's interested.

The seat on the LT's was changed in 05 and reports say it was no good for most people. You can install a pre 05 seat with some minor modifications to the side body panels.

IMO, the terms BMW stock seat and comfortable do not belong in the same sentence.

What stock seats on any motorcycle brand have been comfortable? Just wondering. I don't think that sitting upright anywhere is comfortable for say 8 hours straight.
