At risk of sounding pathetically inept, after removing the lugs I'll be darned if I can get the rear wheel liberated off the bike ('86 K75C). Clymer doesn't give any hints... Am I missing something really obvious, or just a victim of bad body mechanics?

I REALLY need to replace the rear drum brake shoes, and would love to get this done.... I don't want to cause any damage to the drive by getting rough :banghead

Any suggestions appreciated, any guffaws understood! :stick

Thanks!

Loosen the "wing nut" on the brake arm.....its possible that the shoes are hooking the inside of the drum.

Did try that. Maybe didn't do it enough, though I couldn't get the brake to engage at all it had loosened so much. I'll try some more. Thanks!

Thanks. Loosened it further, played with the brake lever a bit, and it popped right off. Was a mess in there. :doh
