Is there anyone who does this. I have seen lots of large tanks. I know with the old airheads you could buy aftermarker tanks. But what about oilheads.
I have a 96 R1100R and I need mor fuel capacity. What can I do?

Tanks can be gusseted to provide added volume. It would mainly depend upon your design needs/functional needs. As for doing the work a metal worker/fabricator could easily handle the task. Does the tank have a gauge sender unit? If so calibration may be altered but other than that I would not imagine there would be other hurdles apart from style and functional size for riding comfort.
Have you considered an auxiliary tank instead? There are some simple designs that are available and can be stashed on the bike in varying places as they can be pumped into the main tank.
