Welcome, AdaBoomer, beautiful bike! Did it turn out that you can use earlier model BMW bags on an 06 or 07? We might try to find some used ones for my husband's Dakar.

Had a feeling when I saw the picture there was something more about the owner I would like beyond their excellent looking ride. You will find there are several of us on the forum! :clap :clap We even have an owner.

Congrats on your new 650, they really are a bunch of fun...enjoy the dirt...if you don't mind a suggestion...consider some more aggressive tyres though if you go on real dirt, those stockers get a little slippery in the mud and slush...don't ask how I learned this..lol

Welcome and nice bike. I was pleased with one as a loaner from my dealer. I love the 650s. I ride the heavy 1150 GS Adv and thinking about a lighter bike for fun and to get in the woods to fishing streams. I can make it easy on the big GS but would rather a lighter bike on some days. You will have fun and learn alot here.

Yeah, I went from a KLR to the F650GS. The KLR is fun, but I am very impressed with the F650's handling, speed, acceleration, ride, etc. There really isn't much a thumper can't do!!!
