I went through all my service receipts tonight and got them in order. It was a stroll down memory lane, kinda sad.... :cry
we had some good times.

I had that feeling, too, until the top box on my k75 blew open on the freeway en route to trade it. I had a good time hunting for the title in the median during rush hour (I know. Stupid. At least I had the boot in my jacket).

I saw the bike. That silk blue is (was) a great color. 43K miles, lots of life left in the old girl.

My wife doesn't like to ride on the back of my 24 year old airhead, and I am in Minneapolis this weekend and I thought, Maybe if she rode on the back of a cushy touring bike............ Then nah.

Sweet bike, I am sure it will find a good home.

It is sad to break up a relationship. Don't feel guilty the following week when you start enjoying the heck out of the new ride and sitting around the virtual camp fire dissing the LT. :)

(did you add the receipts up??)

It's only a "thing", a machine. You've got the memories forever, that's all that matters.

Sure, you've had good times on it, and you'll have good times on your next motorcycle, and the one after that...and the one after that...

That said, my wife doesn't like it when I put a motorcycle up for sale. She says she can't stand how crabby and despondent I get after it's gone. And she's not a "motorcycle person". But she understands that I am.

It's the memories and people relationships that will withstand the test of time longer than any physical possession. :wave

Mark, selling your old bike is a good thing, because it sends a message to the rest of your household:

No one is safe, and you can be replaced.

I bet your wife and kids are better behaved from here on out. :laugh

I took my R1150R for a really nice ride in the twisties the day I traded it in, as its swan song. I hope it went go to a good home!
