1) After going @ 200 miles since I picked up the bike, both the ABS light and the general warning light came on – flashing alternately at 1 time per second. I checked what that meant in my Clymer manual, and it said that indicated low brake fluid. Sure enough, the rear reservoir was low. I added fresh fluid, and did the pull away test, and all the lights went out. I’m hoping that the upper reservoir for the new control module just need a little more to be full. Does that make sense to you? I check everywhere for leaks, and could not see any [I checked all over, and had Monte with me]. The only thing I noticed was that the rear bleeder was just a tad loose, but I could not see any drips or leaks.
2) While checking for leaks, I did notice that when pushing down all the way on the foot brake, the servo motor makes its noise, then strains with a decreasing pitch, and shuts off. I can hear the same thing when I pull on the front brake lever…both servo motors start up, but then the rear one strains and stops. Is this part of how the new control module is supposed to work?
Thank you,

John Colleton

That's a common fault, that the rear reservoir is a bit low or at least sensitive to a bit low.
I think the pump shuts off when sitting, not sure but I think I read that somewhere, to save battery power. I didn't note it on my K12S but then the pumps are really hard to hear on the S when the engine is running.
