6 volt batteries [Archive]

I am soliciting reccomendations for the best 6v battery currently available.
All opinions welcome.

Ooooh, a battery thread!! There's been lots of discussion on this on the /2 Yahoo forum. There's those that prefer original looks...some go to great lengths to put a battery inside the shell of an all black case. Then there's the venting issue and the possible corrosion to the surrounding bike. I've always liked the Yuasa series and have liked them in my /7. The /2 I bought about 2 years ago came with a Yuasa B38-6A. I believe Vech in MS sells a decent battery...

If you don't care about the looks, buy the sealed battery that Vech sells. If you care about the looks, buy the original looking battery that Vech sells, buy the extra sticker that says Bosch or Varta, and buy a tube of dielectric grease to keep the wire lugs from corroding away.
