How are the interantional Rally site locations determined and how far in advanced are they considered??

A good rundown on how sites for our International Rally are choosen was in the "President's Message" of the January 2002 issue of the BMW Owners News . Since I haven't done the work, most of that column was written by then BMW MOA Vice President and Rally Site Selection Team Lead, George Glascock.
The "current" Rally Site Selection Team is being led by Director Chuck Manley, and includes Larry "Stoner" Stonestreet, Gray Buckley, Dave Parker, Dave Swisher, Director and this year's International Rally Co-Chair Michael Friedle, Don "Kiltmiester" Faichney, and George Glascock.
Potential rally sites are suggested by BMW MOA members and then a member of the team does a review to assure all of the "important ingredients" of a BMW MOA International Rally would be available. Sites meeting a our needs are presented to the BMW MOA Board of Directors for approval. Check that column for details.
We are working on setting up sites through the year 2008.
