The K75RT I just bought has the brackets but no BAGS ( what the heck is a Pannier?) I see panniers on this site and on Ebay but have no clue what will fit my bike. I the past my wife and I had a 94K75SA and a 92K100RS 4valve and the bags were the same. I'm thinking that I'm limited to K75 and K100 bags, is that right. I saw a set for a 94 R100GS and they looked close??

I'm open to correction, but as I understand it, you're right, and only K75 and K100 bags will fit that mount. Beemerboneyard.com sometimes has them, as does the marketplace at ibmwr.org, and some other places. There are two types of bags: the regular ones, and smaller ones called city cases, which are octagonal in profile. I've found I can generally fit a 3/4-full grocery bag—or one size 10.5 hockey skate and one hockey glove—in each city case. But then I have to get out the Febreze.
Pannier is a French word that means, I think, bread carrier. Think Frenchman on a bicycle with a long loaf of bread in a side bag.

Thanks for the info. I was afraid of that. It also seems that everyone selling them knows how hard they are to come by. My local dealer is having a swap meet this saterday so maybe I can get lucky. :)
