Hi all, My riding buddy had a garage tipover and bent the heck out of the driving light brkt.[worked better than crash bars]. I was at "Bob's BMW" and the parts guy could not find a part #. These are the factory, big, black, square,[ugly?]optional driving lights. This is on a 1988 K100RT. The brkts bolt to the outside of the fairing. I looked through the A+S parts site but could not find them. Anyone have any idea of the part # for the brkts. They are def. right and left, and we need the # for the left side. thanks,rj

If it's on a 1988 R100RT, then the bike is an Airhead and this question belongs in the Airhead forum.

In any event, there are no driving light brackets made by BMW for Airheads with fairings.

If it's an '88 K100RT, you're in the right forum, but again, there are no BMW driving light brackets for K-RTs.

For fairing-less K100s, BMW made some. BMWBOBs can find them for those bikes. They attach to the forks.

They may be the lights I have on my R100R. They were made for the K75.
Let me know and I can send you the part numbers.

Hi, Tricyclerob,
The fog/driving lights shown on Widebmw's picture are, as far as I can remember, the only driving/fog lights offered by BMW for any K-bikes. They fit only the K75 and K100, NOT K75S/RT nor K100RS/RT. I think they'll also fit the K75C. Many have mounted aftermarket driving lights on the faired K-bikes, but nothing was offered by the factory except for the basic bikes.
Ride Safe,

thanks for everyones help, but I guess they must be aftermkt. The lights look just like the ones in the diagram, as well as the ones in the photo. They are marked Bosch, but the mount is a 90 deg. brkt that mounts to the outside of fairing. Must have been a dealer installed item, as owner of bike recalls a friend of his that bought a new 88 or 89 RT that had the same lamps. I think the torch and hammer are coming out for the big fix, stand back...rj
