I've been contacting other BMW forums about this problem I'm having with my '93 K11RS w/32K miles. My ABS lights began flashing on a recent trip, just as I was exiting an interstate at 65 mph. I stopped, shut off the ignition and restarted the bike. The lights still flashed. I've done the DIY diagnostic and got a Fault Code #1, front pressure modulator. I checked the blue plugs under the tank, no problems. The battery is fully charged. I cleaned the ABS C/U plug and reseated it. Checked the grounds on the modulators, they're OK. Tried the clear the fault with the DIY method, didn't work. I've downloaded all the info that Brian Curry has on the IBMWR and the info found on the K11 Owners Group site and used the procedures detailed. I've tested the system with an Ohm meter, it showed an open which means bad modulator. But I also tested the rear modulator and got the same exact readings. I contacted Paul Glaves and Mick on the K11OG page about that and they both say that is unusual for both modulators to go out at the same time.
Has anyone else had this situation come up on their ABS I and found the solution was something other than replacing the modulators ($$$)? Appreciate any feedback.
