Does anybody have all the National Park Service locations in Garmin Mapsource format?
Thanks

Hmmm, the last two models I've had (2610 & 2730) have them pre-programmed.

It's probably possible to export them from the device/software so you can import them into a different device.

Which model do you have?

Most of them are on the City Navigator 7 disk, although it might not be easy to find them. If the names for all of them started with "NPS," it would be great -- but you can't tell before you go hunting whether, say, the site for FDR at Hyde Park NY will be start with "Franklin," "FDR," "Home of," or... whatever.

When I was getting ready for a planned coast-to-coast trip, and trying to make waypoints for the places I wanted to visit, it took a while. There were some I never did find in the database-- I needed to go to the nps.gov website, find the place I wanted, read the directions on how to get there, and try to figure out from that where to put the waypoint.

As it is, I'm far from having them all, but if you send me a PM I'll send you the ones I do have.

I have a Garmin 2610. Contact email CaptRehkopf@msn.com. I too have noticed that you cannot find the NPS stored in the Map-Source data base without the 'EXACT' title. In Streets&Trips you can at least search by NPS or some derivative of that. Map-Source data base really mixes terminology of waypoints and having to figure/guess the exact title is impossible.
Any help would be appreciated. I figured someone had probably already had them.
