Because of the heat generated under the tranny in slow traffice, am removing the cat converter and replacing it with a Sebring Y to which the oxy sensor will be connected. Regards removing the oxy sensor from the cat conv, can it be removed without disconnecting the wiring above? Or must the wiring be disconnected? If it must be disconnected, can it be done without removing the tank? Thanks.

I believe your setup is the same as the Roadsters. When I put a y pipe on I had to unplug the sensor under the tank which required tank removal, and free'd the wiring from its route to the sensor. A bit time consuming but not that big of a deal.

I have the Remus Y pipe and I was able to remove the sensor and fit without removal of the wire from the harness etc. I counted how many turns it took to remove the sensor and then pre-rotated the sensor and then screwed it into the pipe no worries.
I did not even remove the side covers. Easy job took me about 40 mins start to finish, and the tranny seems to shift smoother as it runs cooler.
Okay so your cleaverer than I but mom always liked me better :nyah :stick
