Many moons ago I saw a write-up in ON that discussed a device that can be wired into the controls (signals, high beem, etc) of BMW's to activate the garage door opener. Unfortunately, I lost track of the article and never looked into it further. Does anyone recall the artical or have a line on the manufacturer?

Cycle Gadgets sells a device that along with your original remote can be wired to the bike to open the garage door.

Or you can put a standard garage remote in an outside pocket of your riding jacket, like I do. I can feel the button through the material with all but my my heaviest winter gloves. Also a little velcro can keep it in one location with the button facing out. For a while I tried a miniature remote on the key fob, but it's actually easier to find the button in the pocket.

I appreciate the replies. I think "Stuff2C" from hawkrider's link wins the award for ingenuity. I'll see if I can pull that off without destroying something. Of course, the guy with the naked wife who opens the door for him may be on to something .....
