2003 R1200CLC for Alaska trip

I am considering the purchase of a 2003 R1200CLC. I plan on a ride to Alaska in the Spring and am curious as to the comfort and reliability of this model. I have been a member of the BMWMOA since 1977, however, I have ben riding Harley's for the last few years. I am now ready to go back to my true love, which is a BWM.

Also, I am considering the purchase thru Ebay. Can anyone tell me what a reasonable price would be for a 2003 with 16,000 mile?

GEC, there are several threads on this board and on the Chromeheads board about peoples' different experiences with the CLC. Some have had a multitude of problems, some have had none. The only one I've had is a small tire-pressure problem.

I have never regretted my purchase of the CLC and plan to ride it from Florida to DC in November for a warm-up to a cross-country trip to San Diego in Feb/March. I put 2-300 miles a week on it, now.
