Planet-f1.com (http://www.planet-f1.com/News/Story_Page/0,15909,3210_3213_1398921,00.html) is running a story about BMW talking to Michael Shumacher about coming to BMW when his deal with Ferrari ends after this season. :german

It is a funny season. Alonso had a big lead in points then Schumi rebounded. Then in Hungrey both of them did'nt finish. Kimi was never a threat this year. Button finally won. Now rumors of Schumi retiring or changing teams. Alonso leaving the best team in F1 etc.

The next GP should be interesting because if Ferrari wins 1-2 then it is going to be a tough finish for Renault. Who would ever think of Renault having a great car in F1 ? Let alone one of the top driver's. But St. Michael still has it in him to pull off a Championship. He is sly. Plus he is young. However I would like Fernando Alonso to win it all.

Schumi to BMW? Makes sense that the German manufacturer would want the best German driver. Would be kinda funny to think that Schumi would take over the seat vacated by his once former arch rival, Jacques Villeneuve.

Who woulda thunk Renault would have a great car in F1? Who woulda thunk that Benetton would be a great team until Schumi showed up? He won two championships there and then went to Ferrari. Benetton went down hill and became the second incarnation of Renault (oh yeah, that's the team the Alain Prost drove for).

No question Michael is a great champion, even if some of his "win at any cost" antics leave me a little cold. Would love to see BMW in the winner's circle, but I had not heard he might move from Ferrari. Wish, however, that Audi would focus their efforts on F1.....would love to see a diesel monster in an F1 car! I just wonder if the corporate desire is there at BMW.....Montoya couldn't seem to get much out of them. As for Renault.....ask Alain Prost and Nigel Mansell what they think of the engines!

Michael Schumacher's father (http://www.planet-f1.com/News/Story_Page/0,15909,3210_3213_1403907,00.html) comments on the possibility that Schumi may park the car at the end of the season.

Bernie Ecclestone (http://www.planet-f1.com/News/Story_Page/0,15909,3210_3213_1403788,00.html) weighs in on the impact on F1 of Schumi possibly leaving F1 at the end of the season.

I remember seeing Schumi's first race as a substitute driver and thinking he was going to be fun to watch. I read the book on his first championship season with Benaton and have had a ball with tracking him over the years. I don't remember him being as big a part of the Silly Season in the past as he is this year.

I think the Italian GP is Ferrari's to loose. Alonso will give them a run. Ferrari pits can not make the same mistake they did in Turkey. Massa will have team orders.

The thing to wonder about is can Button or someone else pull an upset while Ferrari and Renault duke it out between each other?

And when will Rossi go to Ferrari?

If he doesn't win the championship this year, do we think he'll leave MotoGP and move to F1?

He will probably ink a contract just as I post this:

It ain't going to happen, at least not with Ferrari. Schummi will anounce what he is going to do after this weekends race. Ferrari has Kimi Raikkonen under contract for next season. Renault tried to buy him. Ferrari would not sell or rent him. I don't think they are planning a three car strategy. I don't think they are holding a seat for Schummi or Rossi. 2007 Raikkonen and Massa will form the Ferrari team.
