In-Lock (http://www.thecoolhunter.net/Gadgets/IN-LOCK/) is developing a protable security anchor. It seems a bit like the screw in anchors I had for my dogs when we went camping. This is a bit more ...I don't know. Can't sleep and ran across it thought some of you could be interested.

Too bad the pictures don't show any sort of scale to them. It's hard to imagine a short shaft into the ground would be very secure. I recall the screw in anchors for the dogs (I still have one in my shed) and they screwed in almost a foot into the ground. That thing looks like it might be 8 inches at best.

If you can screw it in. Can't you screw it out? If the ground is soft enough to screw it in, it is soft enough to pull it out.

Its an added security that when the perp tries to push your bike away when the leash to the screw tightens up! Panic sets in, now he has to deal with a bike that has taken away his opportunity by either stopping, slowing suddenly or falling over, creating angst, noise, and fear of immediate retributrion from one or maybe more angry riders. It helps instill the Immediate Retribution :hungover factor that the opportunist doesnt factor into his plan!

"Forget it and go to sleep. Not many steal ugly BMWs" Agreed! But justthink of the fun or humor factor of someone trying to do so.

I think your are supposed to screw this device into the ground beside your motorcycle and chain your Rottweiler to it.
