Help appreciated;....
My 1998 R1100GS front brake got spongy, The ABS wouldn`t initialize. So, I power bled the system, even under the seat. Still spongy, Brake lever comes almost to the hand grip. Now, I know that I have a weak battery and I`m getting one, but the front brake is still spongy. I noticed that when I power bled the front, that the fluid didn`t squirt out, it just kind of slowly rose into the clear bleeder tube. The same at the ABS unit.
Really, shouldn`t the fluid keep on coming out when you crack the bleeder with pressure on the pwr bldr? Could this be a rotten hose or bad mastercylinder? Does it matter if the switch is on or not when you bleed? I tried it both ways, Am I missing something here? :banghead
