Whenever possible, I prefer the plug in over cutting wires, easier to remove if you don't like it.

Plug-in was super easy. Noticed the effect on cagers immediately. I highly recommend them. If I can find the literature on brand name, I'll post it. It was easily the best mod I've ever made to the bike.

I'm using one of these: http://www.kisantech.com/index.php?cat_id=2
Works great, and no wires cut.

Ask yourself, when you choose to let someone pull out in traffic because you're such a nice guy, how do you signal them? Flash your lights? Several reports surface that drivers have pulled out in front of MC's with modulators because they thought they were being signaled.... besides, drives hate them flashing in their mirrors..... Jeff

I am using the plug-in Kisan modulator, as well. I REALLY dislike cutting stock wiring, or making any changes that are not easially reversed. I'm terribly pleased with it. Just yesterday morning I was out riding when a cellphone-holding driver started to pull out in front of me at an intersection where I had the right of way (going 55mph). He started but stopped abruptly. It's POSSIBLE he would have seen me anyhow, but it's also possible just the flashing light caught his eye. I was happy it was there. It's interesting to note that I haven't had any problems with people pulling out in front of me since it was installed.
I only use mine in the city, or out in the country. No real use on a highway, as far as I'm concerned. I know it draws attention because I see people at cross streets really looking as I ride by. I was once following my parents for 10 miles and they let me know that it's quite noticeable. If other drivers find it annoying, too bad. Once they stop pulling out in front me of, I'll remove it.
